Day of Peace
Directions:
The video you will listen to, called "One Day", was made to
celebrate the International Day of Peace. The International
Day of Peace is celebrated each year on 21 September. In the
background of the webcast you will hear the famous opera star,
Luciano Pavarotti, singing. You will also hear some children
talking about their hopes that one day there will be a peaceful
world.
Even people who are very proficient in English sometimes have
difficulty understanding children--so perhaps listening to what
the children are saying and identifying their words in the exercise
can be good practice.
