Grammar Check explanation:
  In certain lines of the reading passage, "What are the UN's Nobel Prizes?", notice how verbs that follow prepositions always take a gerund (verb + ing) form:

"In awarding the Nobel Prize...

"...its efforts in the area of promoting human rights, (of) fighting HIV/AIDS..."

"...UN Peacekeeping Forces were awarded the Prize for reducing tensions and for making a decisive contribution toward initiating peace negotiations..."

Notice how the gerund follows the prepositions in these common expressions:

be interested in + gerund  (example: He is interested in learning more about the history of the Nobel Prize.)

dream about + gerund (example: Many in the world dream about having true international cooperation)
